Bridget Baldwin
Bridget Baldwin is a PhD candidate at the University of Guelph in the School of English, Theatre, and Creative Writing. She is interested in contemporary works of theatre and performance that explore and engage tensions between personal freedom, agency, and patriarchal control. Her SSHRC-funded dissertation, “If I Got to Leave”, examines the role of gender in the narrativized migrations of white settler Cape Breton women in contemporary theatre, film, and television. Works by Baldwin can be found in the International Review of Scottish Studies and in the upcoming collection Making Moscovitch: A Feminist Theatre Scrapbook.
